Well if its any consolation, Ausiello is not considered a critic, he's just a gossip columnist and most critics are in agreement that KMK and SO have had stand-out performances this year. Ausiello always seems to pull for Heigl for whatever reason, in her case its like he doesn't really look at quality performance, but popularity.

www.disneyabcfyc.com/ For the show as a whole? For some reason, I thought they could submit more than 1 episode. This at least gets the shower scene in there for Kevin and the stuff with Tyne Daly. I actually think these were strong episodes (Sympathy for the Devil, especially) but more so for the guest stars and the O/C stuff.

Alright, so NOW that we know that Grey's as a show is submitting "Sympathy for the Devil" and "Stairway to Heaven", wouldn't KMK's strategy in submitting his individual pieces now be "ELL" and "No Good at Saying I'm Sorry" (His 'three-word' conversation at the end is just spectacular), that way his scenes in "Sympathy for the Devil" build the foundation for the the eps that he submits? Anyone know, if those voting for the supporting categories also see the best show category submissions?

First of all, this is Emmys, so don't put too many expectations on it giving awards to good deserved actors. Secondly, I agree that if KMK is nominated, his competitors will be guys in other shows. Honestly, though KMK is brilliant in the show, the show itself is not really that outstanding comparing to others, or I should put it this way, the material KMK did is not enough for him to win (just look at the series in HBO). But once, again, this is the Emmys.

But once, again, this is the Emmys. Yes, I agree. According to me, the two episodes chosen indicate that the nominations are: Ellen Pompeo, Kevin McKidd, Eric Stolz and maybe Katherine Heigl . The other have not a significant part in that 2 episodes. Kevin has the best part and should be the winner, even against other tv shows' actors, who are the only possible "enemies" !! ;D

Dr. Bailey and Dr. Cooper are teaming up for the Emmys. Grey's Anatomy star Chandra Wilson and The Big Bang Theory's Jim Parsons will announce the nominations for the 61st Primetime Emmy Awards.
The duo will be joined by Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Chairman-CEO John Shaffner for the 8:30 am/ET reveal on July 16.
Wilson has received three consecutive Emmy nominations for best supporting actress in a drama, while Parsons has never been shortlisted by the Academy. Could this finally be his year?

61st Primetime Emmy® Awards has been rescheduled for Sunday, Sept. 13, one week earlier than the previously announced date. “The new date moves the Emmys away from a weekend where CBS has an NFL doubleheader, which can delay the start of prime time on Sunday.” said Jack Sussman, Executive Vice President, Specials, Music and Live Events, CBS. “This is better for the live event, the broadcast and our audience at home.” Nominations for the 61st Primetime Emmys will be announced July 16 cdn.emmys.tv/media/releases/2009/rel-pte61-sep13.php

I definitely agree with Elevator Love Letter for directing and editing. I would have added Sympathy for the Devil in there as well, purely for the way the shower scene was shot.

I second your choices, kaz. Those two were my favorite episodes of the season, primarily for C/O goodness, but also because the whole episode held my interest.

Matt's Emmy Wish List: Drama Supporting Actors by Matt Roush June 22, 2009 09:15 AM EST Supporting Actor Reality check: So many ensemble casts to choose from, but here’s the cream of my crop, though someone’s likely to get passed over for Boston Legal's William Shatner one last time. And I’ll bet the Emmys will be star-struck by William Hurt’s work in an underwritten role on Damages. My preferences? First priority: Walton Goggins, whose final tour as the doomed Shane on The Shield was unforgettable. This year’s other breakthroughs: Breaking Bad’s outrageous Aaron Paul, Grey’s Anatomy traumatized newbie Kevin McKidd and Jimmy Smits as Dexter’s diabolical politician friend. Matt’s Wish List Jimmy Smits (Dexter) John Slattery (Mad Men) Michael Emerson (Lost) Kevin McKidd (Grey's Anatomy) Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad) Walton Goggins (The Shield) Close runners-up: Terry O’Quinn and Josh Holloway (Lost) Supporting Actress Reality check: Great choices overflow here, and narrowing it to six is purely personal preference. Look for In Treatment’s winner Dianne Wiest (and very likely Alison Pill) to make the cut, along with return Grey’s nominees Chandra Wilson and Sandra Oh (no argument here), Brothers & Sisters stalwart Rachel Griffiths, and maybe one of the Big Love wives (though Gennifer Goodwin, Chloe Sevigny and the nutty Grace Zabriskie would all be welcome). My preferences? Some of the above, but I’ll only be satisfied if Lost’s ravishing Elizabeth Mitchell and Friday Night Lights’ luminous Connie Britton are in the running. Matt’s Wish List Connie Britton (Friday Night Lights) Elizabeth Mitchell (Lost) Sandra Oh (Grey's Anatomy) Chloe Sevigny (Big Love) Chandra Wilson (Grey's Anatomy) Alison Pill (In Treatment) Very close runners-up: Katherine Heigl (Grey's Anatomy), Anna Gunn (Breaking Bad), Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Galactica) www.tvguidemagazine.com/feature/matts-emmy-wish-list-drama-supporting-actors-1482.html
