we keep going.... Episode 4 -Stealing from Saturn
Summary As Pompey "maneuvers" outside the city, Caesar seeks to consolidate his hold on Rome. Atia throws a party to welcome Caesar home, while Vorenus throws one of his own to usher in his new life as a citizen businessman. Pullo's run of luck continues when he delivers Quintus Pompey to Caesar, who in turn returns Quintus to his father's camp--with an offer of truce he knows Pompey will never accept.
Some background: Who was Saturn and why the reference in the title?
Saturn was a major Roman god of agriculture and harvest. In medieval times he was known as the Roman god of agriculture, justice and strength; he held a sickle in his left hand and a bundle of wheat in his right. His mother's name was Helen, or Hel. He was identified in classical antiquity with the Greek deity Cronus, and the mythologies of the two gods are commonly mixed. Saturn's wife was Ops . Saturn was the father of Ceres, Jupiter, Veritas, Pluto, and Neptune, among others. Saturn had a temple on the Forum Romanum which contained the Royal Treasury

On Saturday, while on a wee shopping trip, I checked out one of the megastores that sells dvds and they had Rome s1&2 on offer for €14/ box... Hm... Kinda hard not to buy them, right? Just bought them at the wrong moment, as I had to study for my Tuesday- exam... But, at least that is what I told myself, by watching Rome while jotting down notes and reading material, I was basically watching history, right? Anyways, I watched s1 on the side, and now that I am done with the exam and am at home for once, I am going to start off with s2, which I already watched when I was in hospital *and drugged up to the gills *... I am so excited!!!

There is never a wrong moment to get into Rome. I always have it on in the background when I had to write essays and what not it LOL I'm one of those who needs noise so I can focus on my work. Strange I know.

Wow fantastic! Helped me understand what was going on much better. When I started watching Rome I thought I was going to like Pullo's character more, but Vorenus's honor and strength completely took a hold of me. "sigh" and of course his love for his wife. "sigh"

Oooooh, I started with s2 yesterday, and I have to say that there is no nicer way to summarize German Semiotics when watching Lucius Vorenus being all intense and angsty... He and Pullo just about broke my heart And is it just me or has Octavian become very unpelasant? I never liked him that much anyways, but now they are really turning it up a notch...

@ marcy Urgh, it is boooooooooooooring! And also quite shocking how much of English Morphology I have managed to forget since writing the exam in February Now it all has to be pushed to the foreground again, only for German this time Am watching ep 4 now, and am really taking a massive dislike to Octavian... What a little p****... Vorenus' angst just keeps breaking my heart...
