So it's true that Kevin is directing. I'm excited about that. That is the best next step for his career. I follow Jesse Williams on saw the tweet and wondered about that. Hope he follows in Chandra Wilson's footsteps and directs episodes on the show. Go Kevin!

Keck's Exclusives: Grey's Anatomy's Kevin McKidd Steps Behind the Camera Leaving the stress of his onscreen marriage behind, Grey's Anatomy's Kevin McKidd (Owen) is trying on a director's hat for a series of six Grey's webisodes to air on abc.com beginning October 14. Or should we say Webbersodes? "They're based around a new PR consultant's power struggle with Dr. Richard Webber [James Pickens, Jr.], who is trying to turn the image of the hospital around," explains McKidd. When the PR rep advises the hospital to produce a corporate sizzle reel, they search for the perfect on-camera representative "with disastrous results," says McKidd, who will pop up in the series along with Pickens, Jesse Williams (Jackson) and Sarah Drew (April). "I ended up directing two I'm in, which was a challenge and quite weird." Also a challenge for Owen is Cristina's worsening PTSD, which will require him to take care of her before the storyline comes to a head in the November 11 episode. "It's going to intensify, and he'll do everything he can to get her back." www.tvguide.com/News/Kecks-Exclusives-Greys-1024317.aspx

ABC.COM TO PREMIERE "SEATTLE GRACE: MESSAGE OF HOPE", A NEW WEBISODE SERIES FEATURING CHARACTERS FROM "GREY'S ANATOMY" ACTOR KEVIN McKIDD DIRECTS Dedicated to expanding its network and channel brands across multiple platforms and connecting viewers with their favorite shows anytime and anywhere, Disney/ABC Television Group announced the debut of ABC.com's latest season of "Grey's Anatomy" webisodes. Sponsored by Carma Laboratories, Inc., whose Carmex(R) Moisture Plus ultra hydrating lip balm is integrated into the storyline, "Seattle Grace: Message of Hope" consists of six individual mini-episodes, each 2-4 minutes in length, as well as a special behind-the-scenes "Making of Seattle Grace" episode which chronicles the making of "Seattle Grace: Message of Hope." The first webisode will be available online tonight, October 14, following the broadcast airing of the latest episode of "Grey's Anatomy." "The purpose of our new webisodes is to extend the storylines that fans are seeing on 'Grey's' every week. I think there's something really awesome about making 'Grey's' mini-episodes for the web. We can only get so much content into 42 minutes of television each week -- so these webisodes are meant to expand the overall 'Grey's' universe. Plus, we get to see yet another side of Kevin McKidd's many talents, as he directed most of the webisodes and did a wonderful job," said Shonda Rhimes, creator and executive producer of "Grey's Anatomy." "The webisodes mainly follow Richard -- as he's been tasked to come up with a way to restore the hospital's public image after the shootings. You'll see him working with his doctors to create 'sizzle reels' for the hospital. The results are pretty hilarious. I hope our fans will enjoy seeing the characters they've come to love in a new light." "Seattle Grace: Message of Hope" chronicles Chief Webber's attempt to mount a publicity campaign in order repair the image of the hospital following the dramatic events of last season's riveting "Grey's Anatomy" finale. The webisodes star Kevin McKidd as Dr. Owen Hunt, James Pickens, Jr. as Dr. Richard Webber, Jesse Williams as Dr. Jackson Avery and Sarah Drew as Dr. April Kepner. McKidd also directs several of the webisodes which were written by, and in conjunction with, show writers and producers. www.thefutoncritic.com/news/2010/10/14/abccom-to-premiere-seattle-grace-message-of-hope-a-new-webisode-series-featuring-characters-from-greys-anatomy-247311/20101014abc06/

I agree with you Leanne! And isn't the webisodes called Seattle Grace: Message of Hope now Well, the first episode was more of an introduction to what we're to expect in the next episodes. So there's nothing much, but I'm so glad to see that Kevin's being flexible and diverse in his talents. Plus, he's going to be in the webisodes.. which makes me more excited to watch the next episodes!

[Maybe Kevin is in those episodes that are directed by David Greenspan--but on abc.go.com they said that Kevin was directing five of the six episodes. I read in an interview that Kevin said that it was weird but fun to direct himself. He talked about being in character as Owen and having to say "action" in character do his dialogue then say "cut" in character. I agree with the people who say that the first webisode was well directed. I've said in other posts about how excited I am that he is doing this. Take care now!

I admit I'm tired but that doesn't mean Kevin wasn't funny as hell. "I think I really nailed it that time!" ROTFL. Owen didn't, but Kevin sure did!
