A few people have mentioned this now, which has led me to think about it a little more.
It struck me as normal for Bailey and Teddy to stumble back to the hospital, which is just across the road from Joe's, while they sobered up. I guess because the hospital is like their second home, it just seemed like the obvious thing to do. They weren't interacting with any patients or consulting on cases in any way so in that regard I didn't find it inappropriate. I think I would have felt differently if they were addressing patients and families (even just in passing in a waiting room or something) when it was clear that they are surgeons but their interaction was limited to other hospital staff and not on work-related matters.
It was weird to see them so out of sorts in that environment but in context I didn't necessarily think it was inappropriate.
EDIT to add that even in my profession I've known quite a few people to come back into work after hours drunk when they have been out in the city drinking and need to kill some time sobering up. Work might seem like an odd choice but if you work very long hours, then your office or workplace really does become a second home. Just my experience.

I guess to me because Doctors are at a higher standard than someone who works in an office per se, I find it a little more annoying that they feel so comfortable doing that. I am sure both of them could afford the cab ride home, why would you want anyone to see you in such a state at your work, working or not? Even Bailey regretted how she was acting shortly after to April. I know that if I showed up to work drunk I would be fired. I don't know why its ok because its Teddy and Bailey but there is definately a double standard when it comes to Richard. I guess I just didn't find either of them drunk funny, esp Teddy she's a really mean drunk.
Doctors are professionals with ethical standards, yes. But so are other professionals. I don't see the distinction between any other professional going into their workplace during their OFF work hours and doctors going in. Like I said, I'd feel differently if they were interacting with patients or their families, or walking around in parts of the hospital that seemed to be frequented by non-staff members.
But they weren't purporting to be there in any professional capacity.
Richard, on the other hand, was having alcohol induced slumbers on his couch during work hours and sleeping on the job (not to mention hiding the fact that he even was drinking).
I still did find it strange to see Teddy and Bailey in that setting but not in control so much of their thoughts and actions, because it's not how we're used to seeing them. But to me they didn't really do anything inappropriate (ill-advised, perhaps, but not unethical in any way).
