"Kavanagh QC" .... - A Stranger in the Family .... David Lomax
If you are into BBC courtroom dramas, this one stars the Late John Thaw as Kavanagh QC. A stanger in the family was the Fifth Episode of Season 2 first aired Tuesday, March 26 1996. Run time 399 mins
Episode synopsis : Julia Piper persuades Kavanagh to work with her on a personal injury case. A student sustains spinal and brain damage whilst working in a recycling centre during his holidays. The defence counsel are out to show that he is not as disabled as he would have people believe. Julia is thinking of leaving River Court, and word spreads fast. Kavanagh is soon the object of attention of eager young juniors ready to take her place.
My thoughts:
We have a young blond curly haired Kevin supporting an English accent in this episode. Kevin's character is David Lomax, he is the intelligent young student who sustains both a Spinal and Brain injury whilst working at a recycling site during his holidays. Of course Kavanagh takes on David Lomax's Personal Injury case. Kevin has a fair amount of screen time. I personally enjoyed this episode, I have actually seen all the episodes of Kavanagh as they have shown then all on our tv and I have always enjoyed John Thaw. It was quiet a change for Kevin, due to his characters injuries he spends most of his film time in a wheelchair showing the despair of someone who has had his life radically changed and is also battling with brain damage after been an studious student with the world at this finger tips ....its quite a different role for Kevin so in that I have to say its was most enjoyable and worth seeing.
