Thanks for the great article Rural. I was wondering if it was an honorable discharge or not.

Well if they are going with PTSD I would hope it would be an honorable discharge since Owen didn't ask to lose his entire unit in an ambush. But stranger things have happened. Logic rarely applies to politics or the millitary.

Rural thats a fab article ...... * There WILL be a "Rome" movie for theatrical release, which he's just confirmed with Bruno Heller. Heller, as "Rome" fans know, wrote much of the HBO series, but he's busy with a CBS hit right now, "The Mentalist," which he created. Says McKidd, there "will be a cinema release movie, and [we'll] bring back those [characters] together. He's been busy trying to work out the story and structure, [but] I talked to him and he's got the structure of the movie in his head...All the cast would come back [for it] in a heart beat." McKidd played Lucius Vorenus in "R," which ended its HBO run last year. This is such good news and since Kevin updated us some still felt it would not happen so its nice to get more info on whats actually going down * "Grey's" and ABC like his character so far, but hey! This is showbiz; they also liked Smith's. He doesn't REALLY kill pigs on "Grey's" - I jest - and the show did point out that those porcine stars from last week were in fact made of plastic and straw, so no animals were hurt. Here's what McKidd has to say about Owen Hunt: "He comes back [to Seattle Grace] and...he's more dark shadows and more inaccessible because of what happened to him in Iraq [nineteen members of his platoon killed in an RPG attack; he is honorably discharged.] He and Christina start to connect more and more, and it becomes an interesting love affair, and it's complicated by the fact that he has this complicated past...He's still trying to keep a distance from everyone; he became deeply connected to his unit in Iraq and all of a sudden in one fell swoop, they were killed...he's retreating back into civilian life [and] you want to distance yourself from creating any new relationship because all of a sudden [it] can be yanked away. Everyone [at Grace] is embroiled in everyone's personal crap, and he's thinking everyone should be getting on with the work." LOL- could not agree more they need to get on and do there jobYeah, sure, there are problems with Mardere: "[Owen] said, 'look, I've learned these things in a very specific way because I've been dealing with a war scenario, so I need to learn from YOU guys...' What's interesting is that he's man enough to say, 'I don't know everything. Teach me...So they can really learn from each other and it's all tied to the season premiere [in which] they all realize they need to work together to strengthen the hospital." -isnt it MerDer LOL must be the Scottish accent he is trying to translate but I dont know if you picked up a slight American accent in the MP3 from Valeria especailly when he said awesome * On Brooke Smith: "I think she's a great actor, and I became a fan. I'm only sad about it because I never got a chance to do anything with [Erica.]...The reality is, we're all dispensable. I could get fired tomorrow." One wonders if she was released to make way for KMK to have a regular positionooops we seemed to have moved off topic here ..... back to Podcasts and Promos

I was very happy to read Kevin's take on the possible Rome movie. I never expected it to be released in theaters however and Bruno Heller's intentions aside, I think the end release market is still a ways off of being a sure thing.
I caught the American tang in Kevin's voice and wondered if he were doing it on purpose as it is an American radio program. Such a fun little interview.

I think Mardere is right up there. I understood them to be talking about Mark and Derek in that part, not Meredith and Derek.
I love where this whole Grey's story is going. I can't see how they would have done it with Pacey Witter...I mean Joshua Jackson. I think they MUST have had something else planned for him.
Thanks for the articles and the interviews. So good.

Yeah, no actor I can think of has the acting chops and range to pull off Owen's many layers better than Kevin. As for the American tinge to his accent, I thought I was the only one who noticed. He's surrounded by Americans now so I bet, sadly, the accent will lessen somewhat. Such good articles/interviews. Thanks guys!

Thanks for the clips Valerie. Seems Dr. Dickson is just a wee bit eccentric and Meredith's friend....oy, remains to be seen I guess. Interesting confrontation between Owen, Derek and Mark. There has to be a reason Owen is doing what he's doing. Can't wait to find out what it is.

You're welcome.
Dr. Dixon is a surgeon with Asperger's Syndrome (austist) and doctors at Seattle Grace don't know that she's sick.

Asperger's is a fascinating conditon. I'm glad GA is showing it in a very positive light dispelling myths about the functionality of those who have it. It sounds like GA is tackling more serious issues this season. Thanks for that extra educational clip Leanne.
