LOL High School dad. Makes me laugh as all I can see is Owen's face when he was standing over the bickering teenagers in the ER and told Alex "Make it stop!" That was such a hilarious moment. I think Owen and Alex have much in common and I hope we'll see more of it in the future. My favourite scene in this episode (apart from all the Owen scenes) was when Denny was trying to make Izzie understand that he was there "FOR" her. That was something I picked up on from the first time he said that. I knew it didn't mean he was there to support her in anything, but that he was there to take her with him back to wherever he came from... or something like that. And even though I never really liked the whole dead denny storyline (though I love JDM) I did cry like a baby when he himself was starting to realize that there was something seriously wrong with her, and he finally understood that he was there to make her understand that. So sad... and the whole episode was just really tearjerking. My hubby kept checking on me to see if I was allright cause he kept hearing me sniffle and wail lol I can be such a Crybaby!!!

*sigh* Well if there is a deleted scene later made available on the dvds I know I'm not likely to see it as I don't intend to buy them. I would have liked to see that scene. The fact that Callie is surprised that Owen is in Cristina's bed proves that their 'date' was more of a secret than is likely given that Izzy was discussing it in a packed cafeteria in the last episode. It also supports Callie's assertion to Mark that Owen can "Keep his mouth shut"

I'm sure if that scene shows up on the dvd it will make it to youtube at some point.

Oh C'mon!!!! There's not enough Owen to begin with! Now, they delete scenes!!!! I'm hacked off. Owen scenes are deleted to make room for Izzie saying, 'You're here for me' ONE MORE TIME!?!? Well, I'm here for Owen but does anyone at GA care? Where's that vent when you need it??

I speculated with a friend way back at the beginning of the season that Alex was kind of like a min Owen. Alot of the same hang-ups. I would like to see something there but so far there doesn't seem to be much interest on the part of the writers. I like the idea of Owen relating to Bailey as well. A platonic friendship between two adults with the added twist of Cristina's very professional relationship with Bailey and how that might impact the friendship.
LOL High School dad. Makes me laugh as all I can see is Owen's face when he was standing over the bickering teenagers in the ER and told Alex "Make it stop!" Yes I love that scene too! I think its interesting how Owen is all grown up and professional at work but when he's alone with Cristina he becomes a lost little boy. It is an interesting dynamic. He is truly struggling to find his niche that he once had.

Wonderful, insightful reviews ladies. I'll perhaps put my two cents in later. I'm still stuck on Owen's opening scene. Wow, yet another great ad for Trader Joe's and Kickboxing!! Huge kudos to Kevin if he's reading this. The hard work really shows. Benefit to Kevin: Better health. Benefit to us: Priceless
Oh Kaz, here are the shirtless scenes as cataloged in MY head:
TS, BH, AK, 16, GTP, RM, MOH
Yes, the great body of work is what I really watch for I promise.

Hey Rose!
Have you ever seen the Northern Ligths in Seattle as mentioned in last night's episode? I lived there most of my life and never saw the Northern Lights we're too far south.

Marcy, I was wondering about that because someone mentioned elsewhere that they'd never seen them.

I've lived in the Puget Sound area for almost 40 years and have never observed the northern lights here. I think there was the possibility of them being visible discussed during that time, but I didn't get to see them. Once, as a little kid (around 5, I think), in Eastern Washington, my parents got us up in the middle of the night to show us the northern lights. I remember that, but being so young, didn't really understand what I was looking at.
Somebody on the show really didn't do his/her homework on that one! It's not something that happens regularly or often so you can just do it any old time. Taking Cristina somewhere away from the city lights to see the stars would have been a much more realistic sky-date option.

Rose I live in New England and I can tell you that they don't happen very often here either. I think Owen taking Cris to observe the stars would have made a ton more sense. You can't really plan on the Northern Lights, even when the conditions are right for them.

finally got to see this .....it was awesome... Ithink you girls have covered everything about the show ~ Kevin and Sandra once again a great performance as ever. An interesting thing was that I showed my mom the episode (well the highlights) she is a Greys fan and has enjoyed Kevin in shows like Rome. Her first comment was that she can not understand him or hear him when he speaks with an American accent. Its true you watch GTP and he bellows out in his brogue and now his tone is muted and soft. She mentioned she couldnt hear him in Journeyman as well...so its seems related to his accent change. ratings for this show : ABC has nothing unusual to report with its combination of Ugly Betty (#2: 5.7/ 9), Grey’s Anatomy (#2: 9.2/14) and recently relocated Private Practice (#2: 6.1/10), which held an acceptable (but far from spectacular) 66 percent of its Grey’s Anatomy lead-in Mediaweek List of top 20 shows in prime-time Nielsen ratings By The Associated Press – 11 hours ago Prime-time viewership numbers compiled by Nielsen Media Research for Jan. 19-25.
