I'm heartbroken about Kevin. Maybe he should have entered in the guest star category.
Very happy for Sandra, figured she'd get it.
Still heartbroken about Kevin. I even got up early to watch the noms. Now I can go back to bed and cry my heart out.

Hi guys
Just letting you know I got rid of the other emmys thread in here as there was no need for two and a double-up of information

From the California Chronicle: ... And where were my men Josh Holloway, who did some of the best work of his career during this season on "Lost;" Jason O'Mara, leading man of the late, great "Life on Mars;" Kevin McKidd, a smoking hot addition to the cast of "Grey's Anatomy;" and Alexander Skarsgard, a supporting player on "True Blood" and one of the leads in HBO's nominated miniseries "Generation Kill?" ... www.californiachronicle.com/articles/yb/133038995

How DARE they? 1000 lashes all 'round! I'll admit I have no objectivity whatsoever but I just don't understand the lack of recognition. Dude is a powerhouse acting machine. And it wasn't just us fangirls. Critics loveded him too.
And not that it was a contest but in my opinion he held his own and sometimes dominated in scenes with the formidable Sandra Oh. There is NO justice.
Why do you think it didn't happen? We can rule out no acting ability, so what else played into this monumentally bad decision on the part of the Academy?

I'm coming out of shy lurker mode to raise a hand and say I too was peeved in the extreme by the lack of a nomination for Kevin. (Although I am pleased about Sandra's nomination.)
My ire drove me to examine the dry and ridiculously detailed Emmy nomination procedures. See, I had wondered if there was some silly rule about actors who started out as guest stars and then became regular cast members being ineligible. So while I didn't find anything to back up that theory I still wonder if his split season, if you will, contributed to the situation.
Does anyone know if he was nominated as regular cast and/or as guest star? Which makes me curious, if you were nominating him what episode would you have chosen to best show his range playing Owen Hunt?

He was nominated as regular cast. I'd choose one of these episodes: Ep. 19 Elevator love letter (strangulation scene + love scene) Ep. 12 Sympathy for the devil (shower scene) Ep. 14 Beat your heart out (panic scene)

See? Like I said, Emmys hates good actors. But no PD is an award for me already. And House still got noms in Best Drama and Best Leadiong Actor (which I feel blessed but won't give expectation to that). ;D Btw, no kilts then?

No kilt , Kevin in an interview said he has two kilts and if nominated he would wear one (not if invited).

Sad for Kevin, but glad for Sandra Oh and Chandra Wilson - they truly deserve it. I think he can still very much be a presenter - Sandra Oh was a presenter last year, wasn´t she?
