I found this site ... film not on KMK's filmography magiaprod.altervista.org/grandpas/grandpas_cast.htmTwelve year old Thomas (Daniel Radcliffe) is a very unusual boy. When not constructing bombs with his friend Maurice (Jamie Bell), he spends his time telling lies, eavesdropping on his parent's (Brenda Fricker & Robert Carlyle) conversations, spying on girls, and moving his bowels anywhere but the toilet. Loosely based on The Peculiar Memories of Thomas Penman, GRANDPA'S CLOSET chronicles Thomas's search for his grandfather's (Sir Tom Courtenay) legendary pornography collection, a quest that ultimately reveals intimate secrets much darker than anything he could have imagined. Neil Jordan is the director - has done a few great movies like The crying game, Michael Collins and the butcher boy.... anaterra perhaps you can translate this site for us it looks like its Italian

Its acutally a bit suspect because none of the actors or director have this film on there Filmography so it could be a hoax...but I will keep looking and will let you know If I find anything....

Boy, I´m a huge fan of Neil Jordan (have seen all you mentioned, Leanne) and I NEVER heard about this movie!!! Which is quite strange, considering it´s got a fantastic Irish/British cast. Of course Daniel Radcliffe wasn´t Harry Potter yet back then (the original release date is 1998), but it still got a cast of very famous child actors - Haley Joel Osment (the boy from "The Sixth Sense"), Jamie Bell (from "Billy Elliot"), plus Robert Carlyle, Brenda Fricker (who played Daniel Day-Lewis´s mother in "My Left Foot"), John Mahoney, Fiona Shaw, Miranda Richardson, Jonathan Pryce, Kevin Mckidd, Stephen Rea (who works regularly with Neil Jordan) ... It´s really a dream cast! Even if the movie totally sucked, which I think it´s unlikely, it´s hard to think it would go so under the radar that no one would have noticed it ... I´ve seen a Neil Jordan´s interview where he makes an assessment of his career, and I can´t remember he mentioning this movie ... And why has it never been added to Kevin´s filmography??? Weird, really weird ... As for the translation, there´s not much information to add. The trailer is not really a trailler but a rather louzy slide show with quotes from the characters, and there´s also a transcription of part of the script (but that would he hard for me to translate - my italian is not that good). Well, maybe this could be one more question to add to the list of questions we´d like to ask Kevin: did this movie ever exist???

It´s definitely a hoax, but I gotta say the guy´s got imagination, humor and good taste, to say the least. I went to the "home" page, and there´s a list of other "imaginary" movies listed there, beginning with one called "Living La Vaca Loca" ("vaca loca" means "mad cow", as in mad cow disease), and featuring Ricky Martin and Enrique Iglesias!!! ;D Then the list continues with movies "directed" by very famous filmmakers (Lasse Halstrom, Pedro Almodovar, Woody Allen, "Oliver Parker" - which I suppose it´s a cross between Oliver Stone and Alan Parker), all of them featuring very unlikely casts - for example, can you imagine a Pedro Almodovar´s movie with Penelope Cruz, Jane Fonda, Lauren Bacall and Jean-Claude Van Damme!!!! Boy, I´d surely pay to watch this movie!!! How about Woody Allen directing a film called "Poor Art", where the cast is only himself??? ;D Well, this one I´d never pay to watch, even though I usually like his movies (but he sure can be self-centered). So, as I said before, you can´t fault the guy. Maybe he´s been spending way too much time on the web, but he´s funny.
