Top 7 Best Grey's Anatomy Relationships of All-Time 2. Cristina and Owen Forget Burke. Forget Teddy. The past is prologue, and the exes are irrelevant. There's only one soulmate for Cristina and only one for Owen (Kevin McKidd). Nevermind love triangles and wayward bullets and baby controversy (and projectile cereal). Whether or not their orbits are aligned, they're always gravitating toward one another, and their chemistry is just as astronomic. I've modified the title of this thread so we can have a place for all the non-season specific Grey's Anatomy media mentions.
Post away as you find general tid bits like the one posted by Betina.

((they should be number 1....)) Agree. O&C's relationship is far more interesting than MerDer. And are more compelling to watch. Out of any GA relationship.

Wow - for once Wet Paint got it right. Love the wording of that item. They are always gravitating towards one another even when they're struggling...love them and their fierce and protective hearts.

TCA 2012: ABC Chief on 'Grey's Anatomy' Shakeup: 'You've Seen the Major Moves' Paul Lee expresses confidence in the top-rated drama and says he and showrunner Shonda Rhimes are looking at options to continue "Private Practice" without star Kate Walsh. ABC chief Paul Lee isn't concerned about the cast shakeup on Grey's Anatomy and with showrunner Shonda Rhimes is exploring options to continue Private Practice without star Kate Walsh. Asked by The Hollywood Reporter if he's concerned about Grey's -- ABC's top drama -- with the drastic overhaul that will see three (and potentially more) cast members depart the series, the network executive expressed confidence in the series. "If you look at what Shonda has done, the season that show is in, she has maintained the critical dynamic behind that show, the creative dynamism behind the show for such a long time," he told reporters following his session Friday at the Television Critics Association's summer press tour in Bevelry Hills. "I love to see her taking risks and reinventing the show ever year." The Season 8 finale featured the death of cast member Chyler Leigh's Lexie Grey and departure of Kim Raver's Teddy, with showrunner Rhimes confirming both actresses were moving on from the long-running medical drama. In addition, co-star Eric Dane, who has played Mark "McSteamy" Slone since Season 2, announced this week that he was moving on after wrapping his story line in a handful of episodes in the upcoming ninth season. "I think you've seen the major moves," Lee said of whether or not there could be additional cast members departing the series following the deadly plane crash in the season finale that left Mark, Arizona (Jessica Capshaw), Derek (Patrick Dempsey), Cristina (Sandra Oh) and Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) stranded and for some, clinging to life. "We had a great cliffhanger last year and we're excited with where she's going with that show," Lee noted. "[Rhimes is] ambitious about Grey's Anatomy … I'm fully supporitive and I love what she does with that show." Co-stars Justin Chambers, Chandra Wilson, James Pickens Jr., Oh, Dempsey and Pompeo all inked two-year deals to return to the medical drama. The season finale left the door open for other cast members to depart, either to other hospitals as their characters moved on or victims of the plane crash. As for the future of Rhimes' Private Practice -- the second of her three series on ABC joining second-year drama Scandal -- Lee reaffirmed again that the series could continue on beyond its 13-episode order, with star Kate Walsh (Addison) confirming her departure after the intial run. "Private Practice is a great show," he told reporters. "We did the flip from Thursday to Tuesday and it actually increased ratings on both time slots, we think that's got a lot of energy, we'd like to see that continue." "We're looking at various options as we go through that and we'll see where that goes," Lee said of plans for the series post-Walsh. www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/tca-2012-greys-anatomy-private-practice-355403

McKidd teases about Grey's romanceKevin McKidd reckons that the romance between Grey's Anatomy characters Cristina Yang and Owen Hunt will be "reset" in the new season. The Scottish star, who plays chief of surgery Owen, teased that the plane crash at the end of season nine will take the couple's relationship to a different level in the tenth series, which is set to air in the States in September. "It's very dramatic for them at the moment and they've gone through a very rough time," he said. "The plane crash is pretty much going to press a big reset button on Cristina and Owen's priorities so it'll be interesting to see where they are at emotionally for each other when we start the next season, because there's nothing like a plane crash to clear the decks, you know?" Kevin voices Lord MacGuffin and Young MacGuffin in Disney-Pixar film Brave, and said it was fun using his own accent. "I love accent work and I play an American in Grey's Anatomy and a few other things, and it's nice to just take a break from that and get paid to just use my own voice, which hasn't happened in quite some time," he explained. In Brave, he shows off his local dialect, Doric. "The Doric is a dialect from the north-east of Scotland, from my home area. It's very specific to the area to the point that a lot of Scottish people don't even understand what they're saying," he said. "It's a lot of fun to put your home dialect on the map in a Pixar movie." Brave is already out in Scotland and Ireland, and opens in other UK cinemas on August 17. The accompanying soundtrack is released on August 13. www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/entertainment/news/mckidd-teases-about-greys-romance-16196196.html

Anushka Manchanda is making a music video for Grey’s Anatomy. Yes, you read it right. The Bollywood singer is now busy with the team of the popular American television medical drama. “The people at Star were looking for a female musician to write and produce a song to promote Grey’s Anatomy. As I not only sing for Bollywood but also write and produce music in English for my band Shkabang, things worked for me,” said Anushka. Anushka, who has not looked back since she became a part of the all-girls pop band Viva, said, “I liked what they wanted to say through the song... that life is tough sometimes, and there are ups and downs always. But you know what? You’re not alone. There’s someone who’s just like you. It was a great idea. As a song by itself it’s saying something and a song with such a simple message would be lovely to write.” One of her favourite characters in the serial is Meredith. She relates to her. “I love the chemistry that Meredith and Derek share. She deals with a lot of issues in her life that I can relate to — be it work or personal life. That’s just the thing about this show and her character. We have all had problems with the boss, so it’s easy to relate,” she added. Anushka’s first job was as a singer in Viva, a Star product. “With this project, it feels like home to be doing something with them. It has given me the space to explore.” The video also features Meredith. “The video has shots of Meredith and moments from the show inter-cut with the band playing and me singing. Catch the exclusive video on Grey’s Anatomy on September 4 at 10 pm. www.deccanchronicle.com/channels/showbiz/bollywood/viva-grey’s-anushka’s-roll-611
