Does anyone on that writing staff know the difference between a Chief of STAFF at a hospital vs Chief of surgery? What surgical department has a line item in their budget for air charter companies?! Sigh. Rant over. There is nowhere to go but up people. Keep breathing.

There is nowhere to go but up people. Keep breathing. I believe we've been saying that since the season has started. And yet with each episode I've gone further down the sinkhole. I'm not even sure we reached the bottom line yet.

I am not sure I am with the majority, but I have to say that I liked this episode. I have decided is no longer worth of my energy to try to understand some points in the SL so I just enjoy the ride of watching a good tv show - self defense mechanism Owen taking control ... I like ! Arizona coming back .. I like! (I wanted to slap the intern following her with the wheelchair ... at some point I wish A hit her with the cane ... Dr House style Webber giving advice to Owen ...I like! Mer and Derek... don't care about LOL the SL of the transplant patient ... I have had no so good days so I was crying like a baby at the end (makes you think a lot about how do you spend your days right?) Owen and Cristina : glad to see her expressing out loud that she wants him back. Now you will have to fight for him girl! you better bring everything you have to the table ! and Owen once again picked her - even against the hospital - and makes the ultimate sacrifice to give her a chance (and for extension to all the rest of the gang) to win the trail. Gosh I love that man ... Soon she will figure it out what he is doing .. I give her next episode for that Promo for next episode didnt generate any interest ... is that the interns focused episode? (honestly, so far not yet interested in any of them .. hope they develop some personality soon). Does anybody know if we have a Dec 13th episodes? (9.09) take care and have a good weekend! see you next week!

I agree betinad, I think this was one of the best episode of the season so far, well written and dynamic.
For the first time in a while I'm optimistic and excited about what's coming for CO, even with the divorce. Finally Cristina said she wants Owen back, said she has changed. That's big and it brings CO relationship in another dimension even if it's one sided for now.
I sooooo wish for SR to not screw this up.
betinad, apparently 9x09 will be the last one before the hiatus airing Dec 13th, 9x10 will air in Jan 10th.

Hey, I was surprised to find I liked it, too! I could have done without Mer/Der and April/Jackson (oh, Jackson! Mr. Pretty Eyes, back slowly away from the the crazy lady!!!). But it's so nice to see Arizona's recovery continuing, and Bailey's wedding drama was a delight!
Owen's self-sacrifice was heart-breaking, and to see Cristina finally make up her mind that she want to remain with Owen! I cannot wait for more of that, and for her to realize that now she has to fight for him!! BRING IT ON!
Considered how I was braced for severe disappointment, and to be left by this episode grinding my teeth into nubs -- I'd call this episode ultimately a win! It wasn't my favorite of the season, but it wasn't horrible, and things are looking up for C/O in a major way! (Pun not intended, but I'm gonna revel in it anyways!)

My subjective impression from this episode is that the last scene between Cristina and Owen is the last time we saw them as a sort of couple in their beautiful firehouse. It was a sad but honest goodbye scene, adieu to their marriage and adieu to the firehouse itself /I wonder what the used to be firehouse set will be used for now/.
Kevin was excellent as usual, be it in the lawsuit scenes or in scenes with Cristina, but his last scene with Cristina his final yes was perfectly done.

I do still think it's wrong of Cristina to say that her wedding ceremony was all to please Owen. After all, Cristina was the one hiking up the great river De Nile with her collection of Seattle Brides under one arm, obsessing over a yes or no on peonies! Just sayin'... I'm hoping she'll come to more of an epiphany at Bailey's wedding. Which sounds so totally cool -- and let me tell you, I HATE WEDDINGS and was all about eloping on a cruise ship myself...

Just to add, what a cute actor that little kid, Ethan Dizon, very talented indeed. A lovely scene with Karev. He got his money from Karev just like Cristina got what she wanted from Karev. It is strange, there were no parents with him there.
