I have a favorite quote from 2010. It's from the end of Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief. Here4 goes!
"I kinow I'm not the father you always wanted. But if you need me I'll be there for you, in tour thoughts and in your dreams. I'll stand by you, Percy. Always."
Sorry I don't have a screen cap to go with this. I hope this is okay.
Take care now!

Oh Leanne that is my fav scene so far this season too! Even said so on the last chat. One of those rare moments of lightness for these 2, here's to hoping we get more!

I have two items to start with. I hope to come up with a few more as time allows.
The first is a shout of gratitude and pure glee that Kevin visited with so many of us in October. I had hopes that he would attend a chat someday but I was never certain. Kevin was incredibly generous to share his time with us. And very patient with the myriad of questiions, comments and general squee thrown in his direction during chat. Definitely one of my favorite Kevin moments of 2010.
My second reaches back to Grey's Anatomy 6x12. "I Like You So Much Better When You're Naked", origiinal airdate January 21, 2010. The "We Matter" scene was beautiful. Owen acknowledging openly how important his relationship with Cris is and forcing her to do the same. Wonderful work by Kevin and Sandra. Definitely one of my favorites from a decidedly lopsided s6.

Not only do I love Rural's choices (and Leanne's too - that screen cap is simply dreamy) but am overjoyed she has resurrected the Happy Holidays banner that I loved so much from last year.

The Best of 2010 was Kevin's generous heart in helping earthquake victims of Haiti and the immense trust he showed and placed in all of us in allowing us to conduct the charity event.
Kevin caught our attention with his fine acting. His talents there will always entice and enthrall us. His kind heart and generous attitude towards others, however, is what makes me a fan of not just the actor but the man.

wow Leanne, that is a challenge Really, too many things to pick from.. First two of my favorite moments regarding Kevin career in 2010: 1) I am going to start with One Night in Emergency. I have to say that when I saw the preview and they showed him in scrubs I was intrigued in seeing how different could this character be from Owen. As expected, Kevin performance was brilliant! 2) the second was Season 6 finale in GA with an special mention on the Season 7 premiere.. Now, two very special moments for me. First, Save the Children auction. It has been a great experience to be able to help and see the incredible response from Kevin's fans supporting the action. It has been a real honor to help with the auction and a proud moment for the forum itself to be trusted by Kevin with the execution of this action. the second moment was October chat... who can't think that was not a great moment!? having Kevin on the chat with us has been too good for words. and if you allow me to list one more moment here, I pick the TIFF interview with Ron Perlman. When Ron was talking about when they met, he was saying something in the lines of "we are husbands and dads trying to get through the day and we are both very blessed" . The way Kevin reacts to that assestment , so genuine .. clear reminder of why we admire him so much. As I said.. too many moments. Hoping for a fantastic 2011!!!

Loved Owen telling Meredith she was fearless - and not in a good way in "Adrift & At Peace" and pointing out that Cristina is not her -- that there is indeed a difference in the two individuals. Owen could have said a lot more to her IMO.
Also love in late s6 ep, in the stairwell, when Owen is explaining how his feelings for Teddy are intertwined with a variety of things but also vehemently (and rightly) said he certainly did not have to explain himself to Meredith Grey. Halleluiah!
Basically anytime Owen confronts Meredith I love.
Also loved in s6 finale when Cristina told Owen she could not stop operating on Derek (even though a gun was being held to her head and he said "I know" and basically told her not to stop. Showed how much he understood Cristina.
In the last webisode from this season (the documentary) I *LOVE* how Kevin shuts his eyes for just a split second when explaining how Owen had to be a Trauma surgeon after Iraq (not just wanting to be one.) I loved that choice he made as an actor. It informed the scene with so much (without saying actual words) and it was only a millisecond. Brilliant.
I also love that he is directing. I also love that he seems to be such a nice, happy person in real life. I wish I could be that happy all the time. And I love that he is a family man.
Oh yeah .. and I'm really glad I have that picture of him as Poseidon. :: sigh ::

Hello all, I am new to the forums, but not new to all things KMK. I have been engaging with Leanne via Twitter ( phoeberaven) and I also contributed the snow shout outs from Germany that are up here on the site (I am credited as "Verena", but everyone calls me Phoebe, long story.) Aaaaanyway, so my favorite Kevin moments of 2010: For the first we have to go back to March 2010, when Season 6 of GA gave us the Owen-centric episode "Suicide is Painless". Owen even got to take over the voice-overs from Meredith, now I would call that a major milestone, wouldn't you? Besides, Kevin's acting in this episode was stellar. He outshines his co-stars, with the exception of Sandra Oh, in almost all of his scenes. The second, albeit small favorite moment of mine was again in Season 6, Ep 21, "How Insensitive", when Cristina bonds with a little girl, who's dad is sick and in turn remembers her own father. Towards the end of the episode she is really upset and runs into Meredith, but instead of confiding in Meredith, "her person", she tells her to get Owen. And when he finally finds her, she is crying in the on-call room and she just says "I miss my dad". And the way Owen hugs her and holds her in that moment is just one of THE most moving scenes on television in 2010. And again, Kevin's amazingness here is fed by Sandra's amazingness. And finally, I am over the moon for Kevin and his directorial debut for the web series and an actual episode of GA. He is like a real life superman, in his pursuit of his art and personal life. I'm sure I'll think of more over the next few days...

I concur with the WE MATTER scene. Also, in "State of Love & Grace" the scene where Owen confront Cristina about Burke and she says Burke took something from her. Stellar. "Suicide Is Painless" has the best title ever - because it's the theme from M*A*S*H. It's perfect for the ep as the title juxtaposes Owen's heartwrenching struggle with allowing Dan to die. I also like it when people beside Mer do V/Os. I'll also be thankful to Kevin and this ep because it helped me think of a euolgy for my Grandad's funeral back in March. I was really stumped but Kevin gave me words. Just another reason I love the man. Also love C/Os eyes meeting in the operating room during s6 finale.
Also love Rural's PJ moment. An who can forget seeing a 40 foot KMK on the movie screen? No one. SO NICE. And Poseidon's strut to the Empire State Building to talk with Zeus.
I have come to realize that there are soooo many Best of 2010 moments. As soon as you think you've covered them all you, or someone else, thinks of another one.

Oh, oh, oh, another one of the Favorite Moments of 2010 just popped up: the Making Of episode of the webseries!! (Sorry, I am a bit behind. Sometimes living in Europe sucks...) Lots of Kevin, even speaking in his love-inducing Scottish accent. Makes me giggly all over: www.youtube.com/watch?v=-sfwe8SkeFs

My favorite Grey's moment for 2010 came from this season's Webisode 6. I went back, watched it again and get the exact quote :
"You know before Iraq I wanted to be a trauma surgeon...But after it I had to be. And I still feel that way today. Even more so."
Gotta love Owen.

Gotta love Owen. Yeah this is the moment I was talking about where Kevin closes his eyes for a millisecond and with that acting choice he just makes the scene sooo much more powerful.
