Annual Christmas Card Signing Event FOR THE TROOPS will again be signing Christmas Cards for our deployed military in Iraq and Afghanistan. This year the event will be held at the Reagan Presidential Library on Saturday, December 5th from 10 am to 12:30 pm. Light refreshments will be served. Our celebrity signer this year is Kevin McKidd who plays Dr. Owen Hunt on Grey’s Anatomy. As he plays a Trauma Surgeon who has just returned from a tour in Iraq, he was delighted to come and show his support. We would love to have you join with us to send off wishes of support and cheer. Space is limited to 80 people on a first come, first served basis. Please RSVP to USA@ForTheTroops.org if you wish to attend. BE SURE TO PUT ‘RSVP’ IN THE SUBJECT LINE. Please wear your red For The Troops tee shirt if you have one. If not, wear a red shirt or something patriotic. Thank you. Note: This event will take place in one of the private conference rooms at the Reagan Library. Entrance fee to the Reagan Library and Air Force One is not included. I'd not heard of it either Kaz and I live here. Kevin is so amazing to totally embrace his position as a representative of service personnel.

Yes thanks for the article Marcy. Like Marryme, I'm pleased to see that Kevin is being recognized for bringing attention to such an important problem that effects so many people in and out of the military. Kudos to Kevin and ForTheTroops for spreading a little joy this holiday season.

Yeah Maya and Rural, it's great that Kevin is being recognized and asked to do things like this.
It's fortunate for Kevin that he's playing an American soldier. It really helps him to be embraced by the American public. I think I speak for all the Americans here that, regardless of our views about the war, we support our brave troops 100 percent. I'm grateful to Kevin for all he does in their name.

Does anybody seen any coverage of the event? I have only found: ‘Grey’s’ star helps troops Kevin McKidd takes his “Grey’s Anatomy” role of Dr. Owen Hunt, a former Army trauma surgeon recently back from Iraq and suffering from PTSD, to heart. McKidd and his wife Jane on Saturday headed to The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, Calif., and volunteered with charity organization For The Troops, where he and other volunteers signed hundreds of cards provided by CardsDirect.com. They’ll be sent in time for the holidays to active duty soldiers stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan. Source: www.msnbc.msn.com/id/34315847/ns/entertainment-gossip/
