Is Kevin in all 4 parts of this? I will no doubt watch the whole thing anyway but just wondering how much of it he is in.

No, he isn't in all four. I forget where he exits but it'll be clear his part is over.

Virgin Queen: If you love the pomp and ceremony of historical royal dramas, look out for this opulent miniseries that plays out in four episodes. Made in 2005, its release was delayed because it clashed with another TV drama about Queen Elizabeth I, starring Helen Mirren and Jeremy Irons, to say nothing of Cate Blanchett’s feature film about the later stages of Elizabeth’s reign. The producers decided to put this in mothballs for a year, and it emerged a hit. Virgin Queen deals less with the political and religious issues that were so dramatic during the reign of Elizabeth, and more with her romantic attachment to Robert Dudley, Earl of Leicester (Tom Hardy). It is lavishly costumed and beautifully filmed in some top UK locations, but the extraordinary skills of Anne-Marie Duff (right) in the title role are the best thing about the series. We first meet Elizabeth as a teenager, imprisoned in the Tower of London by her half sister, Queen Mary, and viewed as a threat to the throne. When Elizabeth does become queen, she is worried about her wilful cousin, Mary, Queen of Scots. The makeup job on the elderly queen is superb, and Duff’s acting skills are precise. The supporting cast features the likes of Hans Matheson as Essex, Ian Hart as Lord Burghley, Kevin McKidd as the domineering Earl of Norfolk and Joanne Whalley as the devious Queen Mary. www.thetimes.co.za/PrintEdition/Magazine/Article.aspx?id=1001231write up for this show on South African TV Wednesday, SABC3, 21:00
