Great episode. Loved Dr Thomas
"Breathe, when you don't breathe you don't think. Don't forget to breathe"
Cristina once said she couldn't breathe without Owen.

I thought this a great ep too. I know some are going to be mad at Shonda for killing off Thomas, and I admit I shed a tear, but he was always a "device", a way to make Cris reflect on herself. I also think he was a voice for all the Cris and crowen fans, cuz he told her everything we fans wanted to say to her and put her back in touch with her better side.
I thought This was one of Ellen P better performances too.
Swooned over uncle Owen.

I was surprised how much I enjoyed the episode, although I admit I tuned out whenever business returned back to Seattle Grace. (Leave it to Shondaland to turn End-of-Worlders into bright, shiny, happy hipster people... the only ones we have around here are all gun-toting, Constitution-spouting, hanging-chairs-in-effigy wingnuts!)
I pretty much predicted to the hubby tonight that Dr. Feeny would keel over in the ER, and that the only Owen-sighting we'd get would be of him toddler-wrangling. But I am SO grateful that Cristina finally got her butt on the plane and made it back to Seattle! I was fearful that we'd be dragged through another couple of Mayo Clinic/spooning-with-the-Parker epsidoes in Snowyville!
C'mon, Greys! I'm ready to have some fresh Owen/Cristina reunion action by Christmas!!! Booyah!

Sad to see dr. Thomas gone... As much as I was expecting a lesson from him, I hated that it was focused on friendship only. I was expecting a lesson about loving and being loved, not only friends. Sad that Cristina went directly to Mer.. Even though it was expected... Uncle Owen.... Too sweet for words Can't wait to see next episode!

The more I relisten to Cristina and dr Thomas, the more I hear an indirect lesson about love vs ambition. Paraphrasing: - to be great, don't busy yourself with chatter and other people - wait to become a great teacher with a great student ; until then read a book But then they each discovered in the other what it means to have someone teach admire and care about them, and why wait for it? In the end the lesson is Cristina sees a man who lost years of possibility that someone could care for him as a human being. She was the only one caring and fighting for him. She learned that empty sex and ambition and FaceTime are not enough for her. Friends matter, people matter, and she knows now that Owen still matters, but she can't figure out how to fix that so she is going home because she figured she can have 2 out of 3. then she will figure out how to get 3 ( and please don't jump on me about semantics that Owen comes third, because what I am saying is that currently she does not believe it is achievable, not that she doesn't want him and their relationship fixed)
