Uh...okay....I find it telling that the most interesting storylines for me are connected to some of the newest cast members. But that's me.
Bailey trying to woo Dr. Dickson without knowing she has Asbergers was a bit odd. I would think the Cheif would have told her something so important. I must say I loved Mary M as Dickson. Nothing specific, just loved her performance. Especially the last scene in the elevator where she very bluntly sets Bailey straight.
Okay the interns are getting creepier. Next week looks downright horrible.
I don't like Sadie. She's off her rocker. I don't care how analytical and objective medical students can be I think it's downright twisted to cut your shoulder with a scalpel just for practice.
Loved the Navajo guy and the whole bit with his heart.
Izzy and Dead Denny...or not so dead Denny? Methinks Izzy is headed for a psychological break, which is not something Alex needs to live through again. As he said, he's had his fill of crazy for the year.
Biggest laugh of the night had to be Cristina and Derek commiserating over Sadie kicking them both out of Meredith's bed.
I felt for Callie. Hahn just left her with a boatload of feelings to deal with. Her breakdown in the operating room felt very real and justified. Kudos to the actress.
Finally to poor Owen. From the second he confronted that horrific trauma he was back in the sand. The injuries so severe they made even war look pale. The story of a survivor who ultimately doesn't survive. I do think Derek and Mark were right, Owen should not have walked away. The patient was speaking from a position of pain and terror. An attitude Owen is just too familiar with at present. I think it said alot that he came back in to treat the man. He tried to be honest and in the end he was the one to convince the man to go under the knife. I don't think Owen believed it was for the best but he believed it was expected of him here in the 'real world' versus Iraq.
The last bit outside of the bar.... I'm guessing these episodes have been quite a wringer for Kevin to perform. Alot of emotions in most of his scenes thus far. Outside the bar we see Owen's anger at being forced to try and do what he considered impossible. The fear of letting anyone get too close and the desperate need to let Cristina in even as he is insisting that he doesn't need sorry and he doesn't need her. It was a tough scene to watch because Owen's reactions were so intense. Kudos yet again to Kevin and Sandra Oh. Excellent work. I'm looking forward to a rewatch.

God I can't wait to watch this episode. What about the Owen & Cristina's kiss ?? Is it at the end, at Joe's bar ? Spoilers under the tag Valerie Yes the kiss is outside of the bar. In the midst of insisting that he doesn't need sorry and he doesn't need her, Owen grabs Cristina and kisses her. It is not really a passionate kiss so much as one of desperation and fear. At least that was my first impression. A rewatch might change my mind. Karmic, I wish I could help you out but I won't get access to a copy until morning I'm afraid.

Denny's death was one of the strongest and bigest moments of this series, and now everything is wasted by his return! It is annoying, it was not like that in the seasons 1, 2 and 3..
I can't sleep, I'm sleepless and I'm a huge fan lol..

I just rewatched this episode this morning and I have to say I was absolutely blown away by the confrontation outside of the bar between Owen and Cristina. I saw alot last night but rewatching this morning I was nearly brought to tears when Owen steps back after kissing Cristina and just looks at her. It is a brutal, desperate, angry and agonized kiss and all of those emotions are in play on Kevin's face. So much is said by her look of understanding. Cristina has a right to be hurt and angry by Owen's treatment and she will likely chastise him at some point in the future. However, at the moment, she saw what we saw. A man conflicted. A man who wants/NEEDS human contact and just has no idea how to go about it 'in the after' I don't cry easily but this scene is just wrenching to watch. I can't say enough about Kevin and Sandra. Truly outstanding work.

ooph Ive just finished watching Once again a great episode. One wonders if Izzie is going to die since Denny keeps saying he it there for her...strange wonder whats up there. The new Dr Dickson was a good character and a rather funny scene in the elevator with Bailey. Sadie didn't make much of an impression but its early days. Callies emotional outburst after the operation was very moving I had a tear in my eye. (Have to agree with Rural very well done) Owen defiantly identified with his patient he needs to get his life back otherwise he could end up like this guy.....You could read the realization on his face. I have no words for the finale scene - he is a man on the verge but I think after his encounter with this last patient there is going to be a more positive turning point in his life/he just needs time to regroup....very well done

GA is holding its own against a very powerful storyline on CSI. The numbers are respectable. Let's hope the whole Dead Denny storyline doesn't weigh the show down.

A little late in replying but here goes.. Didn't care for much of the show except for the Owen, Cristina, Callie, Mark, Bailey and new CT doc parts. However, I was not buying that Bailey did not know Dr. Dixon had Aspergers until the end when the doc basically had to spell it out for her. That's unlike Bailey, imo. The writers are dumbing her character down.
Not gonna beat a dead horse re the Phantom Menace (Denny) and Izzie. Alex needs to get out of this storyline, stat. He needs a good one and it cannot have anything to do with anymore crazies cause after all he did say he's had his quota of crazy for the year!
I like where they're going with O/C. Didn't KMK mention in one of his interviews that Owen and Cristina will go through a roller coster ride? It looks like the ride has just started and I, for one, cannot wait.
