wow Marcy thats a new take on Kevins character for this board .... Yes when you read that he does sound like an ogre and Im sure some Greys fans (those who live for the characters and not the actors) would agree. Thats the joy of freedom of choice, but we have to take into consideration Owens PTSD which makes all these characteristics understandable and apart of setting up this character....also for us it gives us a chance to watch Kevin do some of his most outstanding acting..... he has also gone for 3 mins to 8mins on the show ......

I find it interesting that in 7 episodes we've gone from "I don't need you" to "Actually, you're the only thing I need". Talk about forward movement! Remember when Crisitna said she was Burke's ghost? I'm guessing that really struck a cord with her when Owen was talking about feeling like a ghost.

I think the five stages of grief definitely applies because I seriously doubt Owen has actually grieved for any of his comrades. We don't know how they died, just that they died and he didn't. I suspect there is a level of guilt that has yet to be tapped. And I don't think he's made it past anger yet. He's only now fully admitting that he has a problem so denial was up untll recently a big part of his MO.
Kaz, I find it interesting how fast the relationship h as progressed as well. The second one of them stops trusting or listening to the other though will be the first real test.

It is an interesting take and I have to laugh at the fact that Izzy (gasp) and Owen's character descriptions are about the only ones I fully disagree with on that list Marcy posted. Though I do take a bit of an issue with Cristina's as well.
As for the amount of time Kevin is now getting.... I guess it feels like less because of all the crap we have to sit through in order to see him!

You know, I am a member of the ABC message board, and I can tell you that most of the O/C fans just loves them more after this episode. The first time I watched the episode, I was like WTF? Owen is like he is acting like a jerk. Even the see me scene cannot convinced me right away. But then, I realize more about the PTSD stuff through the message board, and I watch the "see me" scene again and again and again, and then I am totally convinced. I'm a Chinese, and there's a saying in my country: "When you love so deep, your passion gets thinner." You let go, and leave your love ones behind. I think what Owen did is to protect his ex-fiance and his mum not to be hurt by him. I totally can see that. He really cares everyone he loves, before or after. I think he did love Beth, but not now, and he just let go, and starts his life again, and Christina is the one he loves in his after life, because Christina doesn't know his past. And I think the writers make a irony in this episode about O/C. Chirstina says not just once that she didn't know Owen, but at the end, Owen says that she is the only one who sees him. And I think taht Christina really sees him, because she was once hurt too. She knows about the desvastation of being lonely, being forgotten. Only Christina knows Owen, that's the conclusion, or else, there is no reason for Christina cries when she looks at Owen. She feels what he feels. I think after this episode, no way these two is going to break up, because this is like a bond of soul mate, not physical sex. Owen is open to Christina now, I think what we have to wait is for Chirstina to open herself to Owen also. She still haven't told Owen about Burke. And about Kevin and Sandra, they are just too good for the show! Look at those eye contacts, this is drama, unlike the others who just put cute faces and superficial acting with their bodies.

Welcome georgeseurat
I agree that the 'See Me' scene could well be a turning point for O/C. Owen has been honest if a little misguided since his return from Iraq. Cristina owes him equal honesty when it comes to Burke and why she is so skittish about getting close.
Nice to know that it's not just us on the kmk forum who are so impressed with Kevin and Sandra's work
