Eyessoblue23 I think we missed that one with the Owen tieing Cris's scrubs ...have to agree that was subtle but we are back to Owen liking Cris's neck....

I was thinking these favorites over again today, and we forgot the scene that follows the "Vulture" rant, in the on-call room where Cristina tells Owen how her dad's heart stopped beating under her hand, and that's why she strives to be the best. At the time, I thought, WOW, she hasn't told Meredith any of that, and she gave George the barest of facts when she welcomed him into the "Dead Dad's Club" in season 3. This man brings out something in Cristina that we've never seen. The look of wonderment on his face when he says that line....."Single malt scotch."

One of my faves is not with Cristina. It's the one where Bailey baileys him into going to fetch Derek and Callie.
If you watch him, he reacts to almost everything she says with a movement of some kind. It's like a dance. Heck, I think he dances more than acts anyway or he acts with all of him rather than just voice and expression. I love his comic timing. I love his serious timing. I love his whatever he does.

Geeze, that is a great scene and I agree about the movement. There's a certain physicality about Kevin as an actor that you don't always see. It's as much about movement as it is about facial expression and his timing emotionally and physically is always spot on. On that note, I always feel like I'm watching a bit of a choreographed routine in that on call room scene in episode 14 where Owen tells Cristina he likes the back of her neck. It's also got to do with the music that's playing (love that song by Nikka Costa, Stuck to You) and the editing but it feels like a little dance when Owen eyes Cristina up and down, tells her she should wear her hair up more because he likes the back of her neck, then grabs his lab coat before walking out. I'm not sure what it is but it definitely feels like a little dance with his eyes, head and movement in general.

For me there are so many great scenes. If I have to pick a number 1, it would be the shower scene because that is when I went from being interested in following this really great storyline to being completely obsessed. Owen went from being an interesting character with great interaction with Christina that I was having a hoot watching, to a character that I really actually honestly care about. Then I started rewathcing old epi's. Then I started researching Kevin mckidd and found this site and am now a obsessed Kevin Mckidd fan.

It will be hard to top the shower scene, I think. Although every time I've watched an amazing piece of work by Kevin and thought to myself "it can't get much better than that", he always surprises me with something even more outstanding.

They're all riveting, but if you're talking choreography I think that's what hit me about him in 5.01.
He kisses her with his hands all in her hair, when she backs up, he runs a hand through it once more and does a little head dance swagger thing, then a thing with his eyes and then leaves. I don't know what it was, but I know I was fascinated.

And then there's the part before that, which I really like, where he takes the gloves off, puts them in the waste bin, rests his hands on top of the bin (sort of with his hip popped to one side), closes the blinds, turns his head to give that look and then goes in for the kiss. Every movement has purpose. I don't know whether I see it because I'm just a big fan and was before he joined GA so I was already watching with such a critical eye, or if it's because it's a signature feature of his acting style.

I know what it is. He is dancing to his inner metronome. Maybe it's that way with a lot of multi-faceted artists. They bring ryhthms from other disciplines to bear on their acting timing.
All I know is my eyes roll around in their sockets for most of 5.01 when he's on the screen.

My favorite scenes come from the season premiere...what I noticed from the very beginning (and I've watched it a couple of hundred times) Cristina can't help but touch Owen AND she is definitely not someone who easily touches someone (her guiding Owen to an exam room after the Shephard stand off). But of all their scenes in these episode my two favorite moments are: 1) when Owen removes her "icicle" because there's something about that scene that I can't put my finger on...and I don't know it might be all the "diiirrrty" fics in the "in the after" LJ community, but there's just something somewhat erotic about Owen distracting Cristina by encroaching her personal space and her confused reaction...you feel the electricity running through both of them. 2) When Owen is talking to Cristina about going for the adventure, the excitement and he tells her she'd be good in the Army...her giggly response is sort of a nice surprise, she is definitely not a giggler, but Owen (even in their first encounter) pulls something out of Cristina that we didn't know about her (she seems sort of carefree in that scene, no?). ***Added scene, Their first kiss, so unexpected but so explosive...leaving Cristina speechless...priceless!
I have more favorite scenes--I just love this couple, but it'd be a longer post.....

My favourite is changed after every episode, so I've decided that my favourite scene is where he is, always!!!!
(Even though I spent a lot of days trying to think something else that didn't be the kiss leaving the pub/bar!! But this happens after every episode!)

I have to agree about the sexiness of the icicle scene in the premiere. Owen is just mesmerizing Cristina. It's a very bold move to enter her personal space that way even with the very obvious reasons meant to cover up Owen's ulterior motive. The electicity is already flowing after the leg stapling scene.
I would add pretty much every scene in Elevator Love Letter to the list of favorites. Every moment Kevin is on the screen my heart is literally breaking for Owen. Each glance and movement is so charged with emotion it makes your gut clench to watch. I've seen all of those scenes at least dozen times or more at this point. The impact has not lessened one iota.

I like all the episodes that I have seen so far, but have to say that I think the best one is yet to come. They both get better with each episode.
