I have been a fan of Leah's writing for quite some time and she certainly didn't disappoint here. While this chapter was a tough read given the subject matter, the connection and deep love between Owen and Cristina was ever present as the third main character here, so bravo! I am glad to read Rural's note about hope on the horizon in this story because after S.7 I could use some hope. This hiatus has been a tough one, even for the princess of positivity, so I look forward to these two characters getting to smile together again soon.

Thanks everyone. I'm glad you enjoyed my section.
We're in the process of pulling together all of our ideas for the finale. Given where we've left you all, what do you see in Owen and Cristina's future? Please post your thoughts in this thread.

Would love to see some light and sweet moments between O/C to end everything...maybe thinking some more about family/babies??

This has been a heck of a long week and I'm just now catching up a bit. I've got my thinking cap on and while I love what abbyfactor already suggested - I'm also mulling the link for both Owen and Cristina to the VA hospital. Not that a talk with Cristina would be the patch that might help the patient's wife see her way clear to there being a future with her hurting husband or that Owen should necessarily also go work at the VA... but there's just something there that could allow each Owen and Cristina to deal with that shared bit of their past which we've not seen on the show. There must be vents in the basement of the VA too, right? (Though I never found any when I worked at the VA here in MN. Of course, if I'd had Owen Hunt as my guide I might have tried harder.)

Ok soo I read the chapter, and I have to say after leah's emotional but well written chapter I was kinda saddened by this one erm For a start the miscarriage took away the choice and that is a shame because, it leaves the issues of the having children unresolved, and in this chapter I thought it would be touched on, but instead yuo choose to have Owen practically accuse Cristina of murdering their child which makes me wonder if we watch the same Owen on tv every Thursday The story left me feeling flat and kinda sad I feel like the the co in your story would be splitting up very soon, Cristina leaving sch and Owen and her friends at the drop of a hat, also did not sit well with me, i'm sorry what kind of person do you think she is lol ? Im sorry to be negative as the writing was very good just unfortunately very biased towards Owen and gives clear dislike or misunderstanding or who cristina is as a person xx

I've deliberately avoiding posting to comment on Yang Hunts Anatomy, because I was following the rule my mother taught me, about how if you can't say something good you shouldn't say anything at all. But since cristinaowenfan broke the ice . . .
There are a number of good things I CAN say. I think all of the writers are very talented. In particular, I enjoyed Leah's chapters, but that may be partly because I've been a fan of her fanfiction for a while. All of you are very good writers.
But I completely agree that the portrayals of Cristina and Owen have not, for the most part, rung true. As one example, having Owen just leave the firehouse, taking his guitar and other possessions, made no sense to me when I read it at the end of the first chapter. His major issue was that Cristina wouldn't really communicate with him - - why would he suddenly disappear and prevent her from doing that? I stayed with the story after that mostly because Leah was writing the next chapter, and I do think she brought things back into focus for a bit. And I did read the later chapters as well. But I still felt that, for the most part and including in this most recent chapter, the characters you are writing about are not the characters I've been watching on the screen.
The Cristina I've been watching on GA is someone with deeply felt emotions, including real love for her friends and her husband, who hides those emotions behind a facade of coldness. And because of that facade, she sometimes comes across as selfish. I found the Cristina in your stories to actually BE cold and selfish, largely without those underlying layers. The Owen on GA is a flawed but well-intended person, who loves his wife deeply and cares about doing the right thing for her and for the other people in his life, even if he sometimes gets things wrong. The Owen in your stories was self-righteous and judgmental, two traits I don't associate with the GA Owen at all.
I didn't like the idea of the miscarriage plot, but I can see how that could happen and in fact it may happen on the show. So that by itself didn't bother me. But seeing that plot played out between someone named Cristina (who was so selfish and self-involved that she could accept another job without telling her husband and friends) and someone named Owen (who was IMO a total stranger to the character portrayed on the screen) didn't work for me.
I know and appreciate that a lot of effort went into these stories, which is one of the many reasons I found them disappointing. Particularly given the talent of the writers, IMO a lot of potential was wasted.

Thanks cristinaowenfan and hopew for your thoughts. Any feedback is immensely helpful in moving forward with the final installment of the story and will be taken into consideration. The time you took to post your thoughts on the project thus far is much appreciated. I will say, Hope, that I agree wholeheartedly with your interpretation of the characters of Owen and Cristina as we see them on Grey's. I will also say I agree with your assessment of the talent level of the authors participating in this project (not me, lol, but everyone else!) and that all of the authors will be combining those talents for the last chapter of the project, so hopefully we can end this story on a positive note that everyone will enjoy. Thanks again, everyone, for your feedback.
