Isn't the other woman next to Mrs. Hunt the same who was in the OR with Cristina? I think she might have been a scrub nurse. It is definately not Helen Rubenstein That's who I think it is - - Nurse Boki (not sure of the spelling of her name). I can see them inviting her to the wedding - - she was in that OR while Derek was being operated on. As for the others, who knows? Unless the introduction of the other guests gives some back story for Owen, I'd rather not waste time on it. ITA that if there is some Mother Hunt/Teddy moment about how she always thought Teddy was the one for Owen, I will throw something at the screen. That would be so disrespectful of Cristina that I really hope Shonda won't go there! In the pictures, Teddy seems to be standing pretty much deep in the background, and nowhere near Owen's mother, so let's hope Shonda controls herself and her need to keep trying to salvage Teddy as a character.

So we didnt have any noteworthy Teddy/Meredith interaction last season, I wonder if the writers will go there this year since Teddy seems to be sticking around and since O/C are hitched. I personally would like to see Meredith read her the riot act like she did Owen, but I guess that's asking too much. I cant' see Meredith being friendly with her though.

Anyone know of any GA cast members doing interviews/TV spots for the premiere or other new eps? If you do, please post them and//or PM me if possible. Thanks!

There's a Meredith/Derek article in TV Guide (they're on the cover too) which I think is out this week but I haven't found any decent readable scans of it yet. When I do, it will be posted in the Spoilers Only thread.

I just want to say I'm really glad James Tupper isn't staying around. I think it was definately one of those things they didn't think through in the long run. Plus I didn't see any chemistry there. Let's hope its not because they want to re-vamp this supposedly dead triangle

Since Cristina is going to get into Derek's service, I was wondering what is going to happen if she starts getting into Neuro? The reason she became a surgeon was because of the trauma she had as a child. Maybe it would be a good thing for her to let go of Cardio and get into another area for a while. I think it will be great seeing Cristina and Derek bonding, while Owen and Meredith are going to be bonding over Cristina. Plus it will mean less Teddy scenes, I wonder if they are going to start phasing out that character now that they have decided they won't be keeping the trauma counselor? Hmmmm.

I've grown to really hate the cross overs they really don't do anything for me. Though I started thinking about how since Dr. Wyatt is pretty much off screen these days, that it would be an interesting angle (and might even make sense) to have Violet from Private Practice be the interim psychiatrist at SGH. I enjoy Violet on PP, and she's just as damaged as Cris, maybe even more, they might actually learn something from each other. PP angers me because they have such a great cast that they don't use to their potential its full of emmys and tonys. I also think Amy Brenneman has great acting chops and could really play off SO and KMK well. I would really like to see Cristina and Owen participating in their recovery together. The more I watch it seems that Owen isn't traumatized at all which I am starting to find unrealistic, I know he's obsessed with being there for Cristina right now, but I can't help but think at some point he's going to break, or tumble back into the darkness for a while. Anyway, I did actually tweet this idea to Amy Brenneman today here was her response: @theamybrenneman: “ MarryMeOwen: @theamybrenneman I think it'd be epic to see Violet and Cristina in therapy scenes together” This is true! Tell Shonda!! If this becomes a cross over, I think I could enjoy it, because it would have a point and would actually be helping the recovery angle along. Seeing that Teddy isn't serving much of a purpose for Cristina right now, professionally or personally, I think this could be a great way to explore her character more and to some extent Owen. One can dream can't they?

watching those last Sneaks I have to ask is anyone else getting the feeling that they are going to tie Teddy up with Jackson

I think that they are experimenting her with different people to try and get people to attach to her and the idea of her with someone. I think this upcoming thing with Jackson is to play around with the idea and then evaluate what fans think of it - Jackson and Teddy.
Really, it would be a dream if both got kicked off the show because I have not particulary warmed to either of them, so if they did get together it would be convenient because then if they had to get rid of them at the same time, they could easily do it

Too much Teddy for me in the sneeks. She doesn't have chemistry with anyone and I really dont' like how they are making AZ look in every scene with Teddy. They just seem like jerks in how they talk about people. I agree with Ozumablank except I think Jackson is a more interesting character because he has no baggage and he works well with Cristina and the gang. With Teddy I think they are having a hard time finding a place for her in the show still and its been over a year.
Something that irks me about the Teddy/AZ scene is Teddy gives the impression that Jackson is some kind of idiot resident, but since he was at SGH hasn't he been Cristina's competition? Or am I just imagining it? He was solid during so many surgeries. Isn't he the natural first choice after Cristina? I really hate how inconsistent even the littlest details are in the show now. Also if Teddy and AZ are going to keep being that insensitive regarding those who suffered through the shooting, its going to make me fast forward through all their scenes.

Guess this is why they held off on the sneak peeks - to kick up some Teddy-related dust and/or to hold off on releasing the Jackson shirtless scene?
I've got a seriously sick kitty at home so I can't wait have this diversion of checking out the sneaks. (Or maybe since it's episode day I should just skip it?) Having not seen these yet I shouldn't comment but if they do nudge Teddy toward Jackson in this episode and then Arizona tries to nudge her toward Mark in episode six, per another spoiler, when will she have time to be a surgeon? Sheesh.

Sheesh. Oh sorry about your kitty! As for the AZ/Teddy spoilers, AZ pushing Teddy toward Mark again is not only what she did last year, but also a recycling of when Derek tried to get Mark to ask out Cristina to distract her from Meredith. Wish the writers could be more creative than that.

I think Grey's is still in the top-20, though. I follow the ratings when I read EW.
EDITED to note that post has been moved from Spoilers Only thread.

So this tidbit seems like no great surprise yet encourages me, in light of Rhimes comment about closure not being the idea but, rather, that you move forward changed by the experience. (Seems there's some tie to the PTSD story they told with Owen's wartime experience but I'm not cogent enough for analysis today except to speculate that he's now taken that experience into that SF operating room and on into his loving support of Cristina and professionally into his presentation to the chief.)
I'm looking forward to seeing Cristina facing up to the shooting and what happened to her that day. Wish we'd see it within a more personal context than reliving it for documentary film cameras, however. But I guess they have that covered by having Meredith there with her as they showed in one of the sneak peeks.
Also wondering how Cristina's journey will begin to turn back around and what the timetable will be like given that sweeps episodes begin with 7.7 and the winter hiatus will soon be upon us. I hope they won't resort to sweeps gimmicks to tell her story after having done it so poignantly so far, showing her reaching out to Owen, Meredith and Derek and now to patients again. No matter, I will certainly continue to be on the edge of my seat given Sandra and Kevin's outstanding work this season.

The more I think about it when Cristina's personal life gets more in order, her professional life takes a step forward. Before the trauma they were never in synch. After the wedding she tried to ease back into surgery. When she bought the firehouse she took a baby step in getting back to practicing medicine. As opposed to last season when Owen and Cristina were hardly on the same page personally, it is like their personal life is the only thing in order, and they are waiting for everything else to fall into place instead of the opposite. At some point I think the two will converge and she will be the new and improved Cristina. All grown up with the supportive husband and a flourishing career ready to take the next step.

I agree with this 100%, Marryme. We've gone 6 seasons with Cristina's personal and professional lives always being imbalanced. In seasons 5 & 6, we saw Cristina softening and trying to work through some of that stuff to get to a point where she could have both the stable personal life and loving relationship and a flourishing career but she never really got there. Now, it seems like she's back to square one when it comes t being out of synch except everything is opposite to what it was in season 1. All of a sudden, the thing she can rely on is her relationship with another human being and not her love of surgery. I think the journey of season 7 is going to get her to a place where she is a much more balanced person and she has a steady home and work life, but it's not going to be easy. I don't know what lies ahead for Cristina, all I know is that I'm loving the telling of this story week to week.

I wasn't sure if you guys post the epi descriptions here. Did you see the new one for 7.08? It mentions that Cristina will decorate their new home and have a housewarming party. Do you think this is when there might be more singing as KMK mentioned in the chat session? I wonder if it will be Owen again or a group thing. I hope it might be Owen singing to cheer up Cristina.
I also hope that Cristina's journey is about her being able to fully have both her career and Owen as she moves forward. It seems we will be getting Owen in his badass teaching mode as he lovingly supports his wife. Love season 7 so far!
