I actually only really sat up and noticed her in the SF I though her hysterics was brilliant Im happy that both the actors for Jackson and April have been included I look forward to seeing what develops with there characters I think she's a great actor but I agree, that I only really sat up and noticed April as a CHARACTER in the season finale. I'm still not convinced she's a surgeon because so far all we've seen is her making mistakes, being fumbly / nervous / unsure of herself and just being the Chief's lackey. If they're going to integrate her into the team, they have to actually show her as a surgeon who knows her stuff, like the rest of them. April has been like, using up screen time insignificantly in the whole season only except in the season finale and "I Saw What I Saw". Since both Sarah and Jesse are promoted to regular cast, I was just wondering whether Shonda is planning to pair Jackson and April up... because that would be interesting

Just read the PD spoiler about what he thinks is in store for Derek....
First of all, knowing Derek he is going to feel absolutely at fault for what happened - how he handled the wife's case, the lawsuit, how being chief changed how he would handle these events....So first part of season 7 for derek is healing from the gunshot wound, and dealing with the guilt of what happened. He will be on sick leave, so Webber will be interim chief while Derek heals, buyt then the question is whether Derek will want to be chief again....well, at least that's how it's playing out in my head. I wonder if there will be fight for "who should be interim chief"? I can totally see Cris trying t push Owen into going after chief LOL

Judging by the title of the season premiere, it really does look like it's all about new beginnings.

Kevin does not get enough screentime as it is and adding another hunk only decreases it more. Plus I think this guy is for Altman.

The only thing I am going to say about this is why do they need this guy when they already have Dr. Wyatt? I'd rather see more Amy Madigan.

Amy Madigan is cast on Fringe now.

Ugh well there goes the PTSD angle I hope not but it doesn't make me enthusiastic about Owen's healing process.

Ugh well there goes the PTSD angle I hope not but it doesn't make me enthusiastic about Owen's healing process. It may have been pushed aside anyway due to other characters that could have PTSD in particular Derek Alex Cristina Bailey Meredith April Lexie Richard All had contact with Mr Clark Praise be to the computing gods for getting me back online after the home system went down unexpectedly. Hard to get my fangirl on from work, even on lunch breaks. I think you're right in that Owen's PTSD arc may be pushed aside a bit as others issues are dealt with in the beginning of S.7. It seemed that by utilizing his Before by walking into that 6.24 OR, Owen may have moved through the latest resurfacing of his symptoms by being able to utilize his wartime experience in his After to help Cristina (and Meredith and Derek.) Also, this may be part of the game changer aspect of the SF in which the angst falls away between Owen and Cristina. Owen (both of them really) faced the baggage of Before to move fully into After/Present. While he will always carry his wartime experience with him, it will likely not be the thrust of S.7's storyline for him. IMO, it seems more likely we'll be looking at how Owen and Cristina move forward after shoring up their commitment in S.6.

I believe Tupper's only in for 2 episodes ... not much counseling can happen in two episodes with all those people, this could be interesting

All I know about James Tupper is the uproar when he left his wife and kids right after he met Anne Heche. I don't know what he'll bring to the table. Hopefully it is just two episodes, I don't think this show needs anymore cast right now.

I'm looking forward to seeing how all of these different characters are going to deal with the trauma of the season finale. And given the magnitude of the event and the number of people affected, it makes sense to me that they'd need to bring someone specialised in (ie, Tupper's character) rather than just rely on Wyatt.

Moving this here, and almost can't believe I'm commenting on GA spoilers again while still trying to make sense of S.6. Wondering if I should try to go cold turkey this year... That being said - isn't it laying it on a bit thick after Derek told Meredith about his father being killed for his watch for him to have left out the part about, oh, by the way he was shot in front of us and then my sister turned into a drug addict? I think Meredith said something pithy in response like, 'guess it was a bad day all around' in reference to her sympathy for Eric Stolz' serial killer character and then she and Derek danced it out together. Am I the only one saying, Huh?

Derek had the chance to tell Meredith this stuff in season 5 but didnt. Seems inconsistent to suddenly raise it.
